Got her planted up the other day! got some more in depth pics of the planting which i will upload soon. still got plenty of moss to go in too, most of the plants are 1-2-grow so will take a couple of weeks to show :)

i believe that TMC have used better light diffusers now so the light looks nice and even spread. we have the arcadia where i work as we are having as whole new system set up with about 80 3ft tanks in. the arcadia rep sent us one and it doesnt touch a T5 or T8. i can get you guys some pictures...

i have also seen these in person. i am not impressed ether. know where near as good as the TMC ones. the ripple effect you get from the TMC ones is as good as a MH. i have seen the tube ones and the tile, i prefer the tube one :D for some reason arcadia used the same amount of white red and...

i love penguin tetras. they shoal excellent and look amazing when they all face the same way :D

having koi shoulnt be a problem. id only stick a few in though. they have no trouble at higher temps as long as theres plenty of airation. i believe they grow quicker in higher temps too. well.... goldfish do i suppose they are all carp at the end of the day.

they wont send to this country because of the reason pointed out above. we have a supplier, so they cant take our suppliers buisness. to be honest its not any more cost to get the stuff from TGM. they are more expensive because of the shipping tax ect that they have to add to the price. they...

looking through these again, it gives me lots of ideas of how to make things look more natural. the second picture is great. i like how the wood shows its been there for years. the way it smooths into the forest floor. something to think about. thanks mark, got me thinking on another level...

i think my ranking was a little lower than i expected, but this has made me want to do better. i am thinking of new ideas that i never used too. maybe something a little different in the next few tanks :wink:

excellent photos as allways mate. i love your forest shots. i remember when i went to the lakes early this year. i came back full of ideas, but never carried them into a scape. theres just too many ideas in my head and i find myself going for the easier options.

i would go with a sump myself. that way you can put the heater in that. maybe use a small clearseal tank.

i believe they are mosquito larve mate :D i used to harvest them in a tub in my garden. they fish loved them. great food for them

no problem. i used a clamp and flxible pipe from another light. it was one of them cheap ones on ebay from hong kong

that leadwork looks awesome mark! i quite enjoyed doing it at college. i got the hang of it pretty quick too. it did make me cringe watching my mates smash it up though :lol:

i bought a snilar reg off another seller. it was pretty useless tbh. i wanted to put it on a sodastream bottle but it could'nt hold the pressure. even when shut off it was coming out way too fast.
