I have done it a few years ago.. pretty much all grows on wood if there are ferts in the water.. will post photos later.

Not spanish, portuguese. Basically you can setup a terrarium with potting soil, rocks and moss. A terrarium is just a fancy word for emersed, same thing. :)

Why? :) It would be low.. less than 10 at substrate level surely.. it is a lot of water, and the lights are high.. main thing is that the plants grow.. proof that if you choose easy plants, you do not have to worry so much about lights.

Weekly.., also they get root tabs, which I have left a few of them behind for maintenance. The fish produce enough waste to keep the plants going, so the ecosystem is working. I am very happy that this tank is going strong, and it is giving the public a great experience of planted tanks.. if...

I don't think the issue is negativity.. more trying to figure out what is actually doing.. This is a community of people that like to know how things work... from ferts to co2, we ask and try to figure out how it works.. So it is not an ozone maker.. is it a o2 diffuser? No idea.. so people...

Odd their take on light, nutrients and co2 as the reason for algae. If this is not an ozone generator, then it looks like another gimmick. Micro bubbles? Use a high powered pump to push bubbles through an atomic ceramic diffuser.

I think that anything they use that would work would be a good advert for the product. Personally I would use a mix of floculant and purigen. Also, if the tropica substrate was not placed deep enough the water movement could cause cloudiness.

If the tank is not a pleasure to look at, then the message that is sent to customers is that this is just too hard. How are they expected to trust pets at home staff, when their own display tank is not spick and span? :( Isn't there anything on site that clears the water?

My one snapped and I harassed Dupla, they sent me another, but I choose to attach a solenoid to it.. A really stupid decision by Dupla to add plastic to such a solid device. I am sure that the fitting is universal, you can take the plastic bit to a pump shop, the ones that fix washing...

I am sure it is a ozone generator, as they are pretty common in the reef community to deal with the same issues.. I think that it is a good idea.. and it has been used for many years..

If the water is still not clear after over a month then something is not right, either with the filtration, maybe bacteria, or it is an algae bloom.. Maybe the filtration is not enough? It should have cleared by now.. What about the other large tanks? Did they clear up?

Some of those dioramas are truly spectacular.. I shared two scapes on facebook, and I got friends from all walks of life, age and hobbies.. The one I liked, a natural aquatic landscape did not receive many likes or comments.. the diorama of the forest, from Turkey, received lots of comments, and...

The big selling point is that you get a lot of plants.. really a lot, in a small tub.. They are healthy and small, but they grow quick.. If you have patience to separate them, you can carpet your tank with one or two pots.. no joke..

The turkish effect is now in full flow, and they got really good.. The brasilians also did really good.. Some outstanding scapes.. others.. hmm, not my style.. But I think the competition is more than just winning, it is a display of what is out there..
