I bought some A. ulvaceous in bulb form, planted them in a pot and was amazed at the number of leaves that came. I did this with 3 bulbs and added each to a different angel tank. In one tank the plant is large, luxuriously furnished with greenery and completely untouched. In two of the tanks, the angels have pecked the leaves down to the ribs. I cant figure out why. Anyone have any ideas?

Also, flushed with success from the above I bought some more aponogeton bulbs from ebay but didnt read the small print. They are natans and so small that they are almost useless. Anyone else used these and might they surprise me?
