Hi i am thinking about setting up a new tank based on two species of Rainbowfish, but i will not be there to look after it for long periods. So I need help planning an easy to keep planted setup which can be easily looked after when i am not there. In the past I had an planted aquarium but it became over run with algae. Any pointers would be good thanks.

When you say you will not be there to look after it for long periods, do you mean you will not be there and someone else will be looking after it for you, so it needs to be straight forward, or do you mean nobody will be there so it needs to look after itself? Either way, I would say low light low tech is your only option, high tech has a lot going on.

People will be there to look after it, so it needs to be easy and its a 200l Fluval Roma.
