Hi All,
My golden ram

has started to attack me and the tooth brush every time i go to trim my plants or give the BW a clean, is this normal behaviour? I'm thinking he just doesn't like me as he's fine with the other fish...

They have layed eggs and now they are pushing all the other fish away, I take it that they only do this if they are happy?

or they are doing this because they are protecting the eggs. the other fish and your hand look like a threat to them so they will fight to protect the eggs

Thanks for the reply, the have spawned a couple of times now and have become really aggressive to the other fish so have now been removed along with all the other fish. I have now gone for a single fish species of neon tetras and amano shrimp, the tank looks much better with this fish/shrimp combo.
