Hi, I'm interested in buying a tank with dimensions:

76cm wide (2.5ft)
38cm front to back (1.25ft)
68cm high (2.25ft)

I'd be aiming for low-medium lighting, nothing fancy, something in the order of 2WPG as a rough guide but I've heard that you need more lighting to get sufficient PAR if the water is more than 2ft deep.

Any suggestions for what sort of lighting I should consider? Would 4x 24W T5 be appropriate (if I can fit them under the hood)?

Ample, you will more than likely get algae problems if you don't keep the light period down. I run .2 x24w tubes on a 2 ft cube. :) less than 1wpg and I'm constantly battling algae if I go over 7 hrs of light.:)
