Hi,

I ordered a bunch of exotic floating plants from a German supplier. I have had them in a temporary tank but when I was moving them today I found these:

The small pods threw me off as I have never seen these on any of the grass-like aquarium plants I have come in contact with. They were tangled so the pods were arranged as pearls on a string. The straws are ~5 cm long and the pods ~1 cm.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

You need to let them grow really, all seedling monocots tend to look similar. They could be an Eleocharis, and these would only produce seeds when they are grown emersed.
