Hi,

I've recently purchased the EI Dosing Salts and I intend making up a litre at a time and dosing the solution to my tank with dosing pumps.

If the solutions are being left in solution for any length of time do the containers need to be set up to stop light getting to the solutions (Macro / Micro).

Just checking in case any light over a period of time causes problems to the solutions.

Thanks

Doug

Best stored in a cool dark place and the addition of Ascorbic Acid (1.0gram per litre) and Potassium Sorbate (0.4gram per litre) will help prevent the growth of mould in the stock solutions- I add to micro and macro stock solutions

Thanks for reply, both items ordered.

I made up some solutions some years ago from this site.

When I was sorting through my box of bits recently the standard all in one solution was still fine but the DIY TPN+ 3 had separated and had a brown sludge at the bottom. I took from this that it’s probably wise not to mix more than you’re likely to use in say six months? Just a thought.

Ok, Thanks
