Just wanted to say how impressed I am with Purigen. I bought some bogwood a couple of months ago to put into the tank, which I was soaking in the garden for that time. I did get impatient and bored and decided to put the wood into the tank even though it was leaching some tannins, although I thought not too much. How wrong was I!!! After a day or so I was looking at a tank of cold tea, which if that was the look I wanted was perfect, but it wasn’t for me. I put a Purigen into the filter and within 2 days I got the result in the photo. Still a little more filtering to go but so pleased with the result. Top product 👍

Nice looking tank, wood looks like is Mopani type, I try using Mopani wood before and just kept on leaching even after few hours boiling, give up in the end, as for Purigen is great product and the ability to use over and over is great.

Really impressed. Wish I had taken a ‘before’ photo because the water was really brown. I didn’t bother boiling the wood so it’s just down to pure soaking.
