Couldn’t find anything similar to this on Google.
I was pre-soaking this wood in water. There happens to be a Marino moss ball in the same container. Is the transparent file algae or diatoms(are diatoms algae?) ??? Is this normal and was it cause due to the moss ball?

Hi
Harmless white bacteria growth, 99% of all types of wood get covered in it when submerged in water!
You can wash it off or leave it to run its growth course, some snails will eat it.
No, the moss ball isn't the cause.
