As Ian has said, you need a pump. I get 100l out of mine in about 6 hours connected to my shower cold outlet. Get the highest output device you can afford.

Hi @Franks When you say drilled the inlet, are you referring to the holes in the tube that the prefilter sponges slot on to?

Yeah, done all of the above. I do notice air gets trapped inside as well ans then the filter sometimes burps our the excess. I assume this is becasue my CO2 is coming out of solution as its agitated throught he filter mesh. I'm going to try rmeoving some of it and see if that makes any difference.

Thanks for the reply. I've not checked the impeller but havent taken it apart either so assume they would be there unless its been dlievered with missing parts. I have seen that video but it seems to be more about the burping as opposed to the constant loudness of the filter. Cheers

Tesco sell de-ionised water which does the same thing. Whats the 'pink tinge' mantra then? Is this where theres enough of a dose that anything falling out of solution doesnt matter? That's always been my problem with iron supplements.
