    surface film

Hi Maloney it sounds as if your answering your own question. Can you not change the filter height or output flow direction just to try and clear the problem corner? I don't know if the tank has the filter bonded in but if not move the filter and direct the flow in to the corner and see if that...

Neil thats a great find E bay store, for this answer and all the guys making reactors. Recently I answered a guy who wished he could see what was going on in side the reactor as his 50mm tube was black or grey but this shop you found will help both these answers for sure regards Colin.

Is ''CO2 proof tubing'' any different from the regular tubin

Re: Is ''CO2 proof tubing'' any different from the regular t Hi Chris read this. "What happens? "Part of the CO2 which is passing through the silicone tube crosses the wall of the tubing, and enters the air. Tests have recently shown that this can...

    Brace bar removal

Hi remember if you modify the tank in any way it consiquently fails, and water damage is caused. No come back on the manufacturer and no pay out from the insurance, and thats a lot of water. As Foxfish says cut the wood not the tank, could end up being expensive, just some friendly advice Kind...

Help needed on Eheim Pro3e 2074

Hi, I run 3off 2078's and a 2074 and yes the electronics are designed and calibrated to run as supplied. Before I put my reactors on dedicated circ pumps they ran on 2off the 2078's just fine. As a 2074 is just a small 2078 I cannot imagine a problem. If you are using the constant flow function...

Is ''CO2 proof tubing'' any different from the regular tubin

Re: Is ''CO2 proof tubing'' any different from the regular t My understanding is that especially silicon based or derived tubing goes porous that is why there is CO2 specific tubing that does not degrogate over time. The stuff our sponsors promote. regards Colin.

FE setup - where am I going wrong?

Hi yes for sure I thought it was from the connection, a FE service company will sort that out I would think for a small fee. If you Google FE suppliers or Engineers in your are hopefully they could sort you out without having to replace it. Kind regards Colin.

    co2 cylinders (81cm) - can I wedge it diagonally?

Joe, think about the CO2 bottle as having liquid in it and not a gas. This is true of a CO2 bottle, there is a space at the top of the bottle where at room temp the liquid becomes a gas but if the bottle tilts too far over the liquid will flow in to the reg. This can freeze the reg which can...

Is ''CO2 proof tubing'' any different from the regular tubin

Re: Is ''CO2 proof tubing'' any different from the regular t Yes Co2 tubing is normally clear and has a harder outer wall, and as its name suggests does not degrodate under the duress of carrying Co2. Normal tubing will carry co2 but will fail in time have fun Colin.
