You could get an extra powerhead to help circulate the water. Most filters have much lower flow rate for the recommended tank size than most planted tank people want unfortunately.

This is about windelov as well, I have a high tech tank now and the java fern windelov is growing much better, but I'm not adding nitrogen or any of that just carbon. So I think they just need a decent amount of light to grow quickly and my main tank is only 0.8 watts per gallon of t8 lighting.

I just thought they'd look great in the cube but obviously the bigger tank is usually better. I'd probably buy 6 or 7 then, I'm hoping for this cube to be high tech, the plants are still settling in though. I'll start a journal for it soon.

Hey guys, I want to get some celestial pearl danios but i don't know if they would be suitable for my 40l nano cube, I know there care but not what tank size they need. Help would be appreciated :D If they can't go in my 40l cube would they be able to go in my 70l tank?

I actually was thinking of upping the light a bit because the aquarium looks quite dark and I have another 2 tubes and a starter, so I can either keep the tank lighting as it is, use a 15w tube or a 20w tube. Any thoughts on this?

I dose micro nutrients but I don't dose much. And with regular java I've had it in a tub with no extra light or ferts and its grown :)

This is just regarding windelov, my windelov grows really well in low light with no added co2 or carbon. Obviously not as fast as in a high tech tank but it still has good growth.

I just bought 4 ottos from my lfs and these guys were very healthy, they'd been in the shop for 2 weeks and grown quite a bit because between 5 of them and a couple plecs they managed to get rid of ALL of the algae in the tank and there was so much algae the week before the tank looked hideous...

Unfortunately I only have the one bulb so I can't mix and match. And with the runners that sprout several inches away, once they've grown roots can i cut the connecton between that and the orginal (mother?) plant?
