    Mail order Shrimps

Ok snapped a pic. These are the ones i bought for €1.40. They were absolutely tiny if that makes a difference, you could have put 3 onto a microSD card they were that small.

    Mail order Shrimps

Thanks. Managed to find 2 x cardinals locally €2.40. The same shop had some cherry shrimps in at €1.40 so i bought 20 of them also. Fingers they live well together. I'll keep searching, but with postage added they seem to be a LOT more expensive than they're selling for locally. Thanks...

Hi, Thanks for that  I'll do a search as they seem monumentally expensive on that site €8 each for cherry shrimp  I'm guessing garnelen is German for shrimp?

    Cooling tanks down

Ok snapped some pics. Went up to 5 fans now, that way i don't have to spin em so fast so they're quieter. They're just standard PC fans, so cost only a few quid each. Angled em so they're blowing out throw t'other side. Tried various brackets and clamps, but most the metal ones i made...

    Cooling tanks down

That's exactly what i have done. As Sam says you do loose a fair bit of water, i'm losing around 6L a week in my 120L tank. But even in the height of summer here i rarely see anything over 28c water temp wise. You can buy controllers that turn the fans on/off at preset temps. Eliwell do some...

    Anyone got one of these?

Not really the 2026 flows a lot more than the 2322. I suppose it would be possible to cut more slits but the problem i found was not really the amount of slits but they're size, they blocked extremely easily. 1 decent size leaf and my the intake is more or less completely blocked. The fact...

    Cloudy Water

Glad to hear it's sorted Terry. Just wanted to add that running your 2026 flat out shouldn't cause any problems. My tanks half the size as yours at 120L yet i've been running my 2026 flat out for near on 3 months without any problems. Cheers Mark

    Anyone got one of these?

I missed this thread sorry  Yep i bought a set of these, the outlet is great, the inlet is absolute crap though. It gets blocked up at least 3 times a day, the slits are wayyyyyyyyyy too small and in too small a area. Severely reduced my flow on my 2026, ended up refitting the stock...

Help with CO2 kit choice please

Thanks guys. I'll go with the offered advice and leave it for now. Like you say shipping is a pain in the blahblahblahblah for such heavy stuff, there are a few more fish shops around Athens. I wouldn't really buy plants or fish from em but then they can't really do much to knacker up substrate :lol...

Help with CO2 kit choice please

Ohhh i knew there was summet i wanted to ask. So i'll be stopping by the LFS in the morrow (chant, must not buy more fish, must not buy more fish). I was planning on replacing the sand/gravel substrate as the LFS has Seachem Flourite in stock i thought it'd be easier all round to get some of...
