That would have been just the right tool for an Amazon Sword I was trying to tame once. After further investigation I discovered various Echinodorus were called 'tank busters' lol
Any love for the Viv brand?

Seems to be the poor man's ADA but still a step up from usual junk
I'm going to give some a try
Guess @Devon kt you need to weigh up how much trouble you are in for spending more money vs for causing a flood ;) You know you are going to be in the dog-box regardless
Have used this in the past, Eheim Silicon spray. No doubt expensive for what it is but def fish safe.
Had a canister filter leak once (2075) due to seals and suddenly got me paying attention!
Next time I think I will use food-grade silicon grease
I am far from an expert, and prob what you don't what to hear, but I would think you need at least one primary drain and one emergency drain. The flow on the primary drain can be adjusted with a tap allowing it to run at full siphon, not taking in any additional air into the sump, and ideally...
Stunning tank and amazing selection of fish - not often I have to google half of them :-) Great to have a local dealer who shares your interests too.
I had question on how you deal with cyano on the substrate where it is exposed to direct sun? Has always been a problem for me. I have a love/...
What a cutie!
Wouldn't have thought it but somehow his markings do make him more camouflaged on that substrate.
Tank looks beautiful and algae free, what do you plan on feeding this sucker?
Definitely worth getting it done properly rather than doing a bodge job and stressing about it for the next few years. Good luck with the rest of the project - looks fantastic. Lucky fish.
Oh wow good to hear thanks guys. Cheers @foxfish, good to know I'm not committing any egregious errors. Sumps and CO2 are often considered mutually exclusive and it has been great to hear from people who have been and done this for proper planted tanks. Yes, not looking for better plants, just...
Does anyone have any long-term feedback on their sumps for planted tanks? @Zak Rafik @zozo @Something Fishy . Still using them and happy? I am contemplating a 120g / 550L tank with a Herbie style overflow (Waterbox marine tank). I like the ability to have most everything out of the main tank...
I've had one for a couple of years with no trouble at all. Works really well and very happy compared to a DIY job or the atomizer I was using previously. I didnt need any PFTE tape but did put some jubilee (?) clips / clamps on the barbs. I found the internal media did clog after a while in my...
