    Heater inside Eheim 2260?

Sorry, I should have mentioned that an inline heater isn't really workable with my setup. Long story, but this is basically a last resort option other than having the heater visible in the aquarium. Thank you for the suggestion, though. I once had an Eheim thermofilter and it had a near-boiling...

    Heater inside Eheim 2260?

I have a slightly off-the-wall DIY idea that I haven't heard of anyone else attempting, but before I take the plunge I'm hoping to get some opinions on it. Any suggestions or comments are welcome. I'm wondering if there would be any problems (that I've managed to overlook) with putting a...

    Solenoid part ?

Re: Solenoid part ? It's not a problem, I'm glad I could help. :) Most of the fittings used for CO2 are standard pneumatic fittings so any good hydraulics/pneumatics shop should sell them.

    Solenoid part ?

Re: Solenoid part ? Hose connectors are fairly easy to find. The thread will almost certainly be 1/8" BSPP and the hose fitting will be 6mm OD/4mm ID. At least that's the standard size for CO2 fittings. This a similar direct replacement and a sealing washer...

    Dual stage regulators

A single stage regulator has one regulating mechanism which reduces the cylinder pressure from around 55-60 bar to 1-2 bar in one stage. The needle valve then fine tunes the output flow. A dual stage regulator is easily recognisable because it's much larger and often appears to be two...

    JBL Regulator Pressure gauge leaking

I would also contact JBL. It sounds like the low pressure gauge was overpressurised and has completely blown out. Replacing the gauge would be simple enough, but you need to know why the pressure got too high in the first place. If the reg has malfunctioned it won't be doing its job and using...

    Co2 Solenoid

I might be repeating what Paul was saying because I'm not exactly sure where he meant the sealing washer should go. I'm sorry if this is the same information. The small cylindrical nylon tube (maybe about 6mm diameter x 3mm long) is for sealing between the reg and the solenoid, or between any...

    Eheim Pro 3 600 2075 - Noises

I've just looked at the parts breakdown for the Pro 3 600, and it looks like the float valve is virtually identical to the design of the flow rate indicator, but in reverse as a kind of primitive check valve to stop backflow down the outlet pipe. In another thread...

    Eheim Pro 3 600 2075 - Noises

Re: Eheim Pro 3 600 - Swishing Noises If the Pro 3 600 has a flow meter float on the outlet side as the 2080 does and the Pro II's did, it's possible the "ticking" you're hearing is simply the float vibrating in its casing because of the increase in flow you've reported.

    eheim nightmare

The part about the filter seeming to have an air leak still makes me think it was a poor seal or a crack somewhere in the head unit. Impossible to know for sure though, and as long as swapping the head unit fixed the problem it doesn't matter too much. I'm glad you got it sorted. :)

    eheim nightmare

Danny, if the filter is now primed and running but is sucking in air, there must be a leak. The only other thing I can think of is that you still didn't get all the air out, but trapped air will usually resolve itself quite quickly. If it's as simple as the priming mechanism being temperamental...

Which is the quietest 1200: JBL, AO, TT or AM?

Unfortunately that did sound a little too good to be true. The Pro II (2026 and 2028) was replaced by the Pro III a while ago now, and any Pro II's are just the remaining stock. Most retailers have put the price UP because rather than trying to clear the old stock, many people still want a Pro...

Wave CO2 Regulator & Solenoid help?

I think a needle valve adjusts the flow rate at a given pressure, not the pressure itself. The UP atomiser requires higher pressure to force the gas through the ceramic; higher flow makes no difference because without enough pressure the gas still can't go anywhere. Andy's talking about being...

Which is the quietest 1200: JBL, AO, TT or AM?

The problem with asking which filter is the quietest is that it's a very subjective question. Some people have better hearing or hear different frequencies, so what's "silent" to one person is unbearable to another. I don't know where the bedroom is in relation to the living room, but I can't...

Best Inlet / Outlet for external filter.

I used to love the Eheim Installation kits, but after a year or so of use I found the smoked grey ABS would turn cloudy white. It didn't matter so much if all the parts were purchased and installed at the same time, but when I needed to change things around and buy new extensions or fittings...
