    Ada 60p cabinet

There are some shots of the cabinet. It's still in the protective wrapping. You'll see the cut-outs to the rear left and right top rear corners. There is also a hole to the rear right (for a sump) which i can use for the doser pipework. Also a cable entry to the lower LHS. As you can see...

    Gas vs bio Co2

You'll need to consider the size of the tank you're running and how you're going to deliver the co2 into the tank. You don't say what size, but a paintball bottle won't last long on a 260l tank. Bio is lower pressure so can limit your delivery methods.

    Ada 60p cabinet

I purchased this one a week or so ago https://www.amazon.co.uk/WAVE-Coated-Cabinet-White-Lacquered/dp/B0186ZU0BO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499117521&sr=8-1&keywords=WAVE+Coated+Wood+Cabinet,+90+x+45+x+80+cm,+White+Lacquered The same make as recommended by Ryan. It's a dense fiber board, so it's...

    Ambitous Budget Multitank Project

Personly, I would never place a tank on the floor, in my house or shed it's likely to receive damage of some sort.... sooner rather than later! If you want break-up the sight line, go for a lower stand so it's rased off the floor, but lower than the others.

Should I try to add co2

If you don't like the idea of gas (for whatever reason) you could try liquid carbon.

    Big Red Rootscape 160 litre

Hi Simon, my understanding is that green light will have a negative affect on your plant growth, so I would advise against translucent green plastic. Green light is least effective to plants as most plants reflect green light and absorb very little. It is this reflected light that makes them...

    Hello from darkest Devon

How many £££££'s do you want to spend and what are you looking to achieve? Give us some idea of size, high /low tec. etc. Before you buy the cabinet, make sure it can house everything you want/need - particularly the pump. If you want the pump hidden, the size of the cupboard is all...

    Does CO2 mist kill algae?

In my humble opinion it doesn't "kill" the BBA/GSA, but getting everything correct (lights, flow, co2 etc) means your plants out compete it. So with maintenance algae is eventually removed.

I think I did something really stupid....

It is possible to have elevated levels of copper in drinking water - however it is unusual and normally only affects the water that is "standing" in the pipework. See the link below for full details as it depends on lots of factors. If you do notice a blue discharge from your tap (which...

    Fishing line for Aquascape

I use fly tying cotton (as I also tie flies) it's fine, strong and slightly waxed. As it comes in many colours you can match it to the colour of the wood .
