Due to work I am not at home as often so I have invested in a doser, regarding liquid carbon, is it better do dose all in one go or space it out throughout the day, or doesn't it matter?
Ive just added some frogbit but it seems to clump where spraybar is and in a corner, I need a good surface water flow so how can I keep the plants all together and stop them piling up in a corner?

I already have the tank and discus, I used to have it planted but with work taking more and more time I don't want the extra work of a planted tank so changing to a non planted tank but was just looking at best way to keep algae at bay, Ive got 3 ai prime hd freshwater lights and looking...

I like the idea of floating plants as it would also lower the light for the discus.
Any recommendations for low maintenance floating plants, it will be a 6x2x2 tank.
I am in the process of setting up a new discus tank but its going to be non planted with just a few bits of bogwood and a few bits of 'litter', my question is how do I keep algae at bay with no plants in tank and I would like to have lights on for at least 8 hrs.

Im glad your getting it all sorted out, ive never had to deal with the company but it looks as if they are a good company with good support for customers.
No need for a pre filter, already has one.
No need for all that media as its just redundant, the stuff you get is good enough and plenty, plus if you are keeping a planted tank then the plants will do a lot of the filtering.
The money you save on not buying extra stuff you don't need can be used...
There are lots of different options depending on your tank, i dont run a planted tank, mines a discus set up so my filter will be set up different to yours, but just make sure you put course, medium and fine sponges at the bottom as water rises from the bottom upwards through the trays. Me...
