3 month update
I thought I would post a quick update to show people how this aquarium has progressed over the last three months. Overall this tank has done very well and the plants have grown in nicely.
I added some hygrophila pinnatifida later on. I love this plant and have been encouraging...
They are referring to the flow rate listed on the filter. I think you'll find the actual flow rate is significantly less (approximately half what is advertised) when the filter is filled up.

Have a look on Ebay, there is a seller selling brand new chihiros lights. Not if they have exactly the model you're after. Otherwise you can buy them on Aliexpress - with long shipping time and likely customs charges.

Thanks. It looks very nice, a lot like manzanita. The outer layer has started to decompose so I'm going scrape it off. Hopefully the gamble pays off

I think it could benefit from one or two larger pieces of wood. A larger piece of wood and fewer small pieces will make for a more impactful scape imo. Lots of smaller pieces can be distracting and won't create the drama of a larger piece. You may even want some of the wood protruding, which...
