Quick update! Lots of algae growth but also lots of plant growth. Still no co2 hooked up but I really like it so far.
I've actually just chucked a lot of plant out there was so much growth!
It's still far off what I want it to be, but it's slowly getting there. The afro moss is growing...
Hi Everyone, I first set up my planted tank with an internal filter which has been fine for the last 3 months.
I put an external thermo filter on the tank a week ago to increase flow/ improve the look of the tank. How long until I can remove the internal filter? There's no hurry but it does...
Yes in theory but I had a message from CO2 Supermarket to say I shouldn't be mixing equipment from different suppliers (in this case CO2 Art) despite the fittings being the same and that it was the source of all my woes! I beg to differ, but hey ho. It would seem lilirose has had similar advice.
I've recently had a similar issue with them becoming rude despite a very obviously defective item! I'll detail it in a longer post at some point.
I hope you get it resolved but I've nothing helpful to add I'm afraid.
It's slowly filling in and I've added 10 Alder cones to stain the water for the 16 green neons which I recieved today. They look happy already, exploring the tank. The 10 Harlequins initially looked annoyed at having to share their tank but everyone seems happy now!
I've still been having huge...
Ah that sounds promising. It was 10 years ago that i had the issue with finding an adapter (there weren't any! )
Please can you post your solution when you have it? I'm interested.
No, I did the same as you, had a nano regulator and looked and any way I could to get larger (and cheaper!) bottles to fit. I ended up drawing a blank and bought a reg to fit disposable bottles instead.
It's closer to home than that I'm afraid. My Dad for one and my family is about as boring working class white British as you could imagine!
I do think the ratio of males to females is important to those young aquascapers coming into the hobby as I think it will put off talented females from...
I'm not sure Tim. I find UKAPS to be a very respectful and friendly forum and far less prone to the male posturing that I've seen in the cycling forums that I also frequent.
I think carry on as you are and more women will join hopefully!
I agree with above (I'm female too). I'm not put off by the seemingly male domination of UKAPS but I expect some are. I have automatically assumed to be male in PMs several times which I find a bit irritating but I'm encouraged by the number of female friends who want to know about by new...
