Hi thanks, so here it is after 8 months, I’ve just let nature take over and watch it evolve. I would love to create another but we don’t have the room.
Hygrophila pinnatifida grows like mad so always cutting lots away to make space. If you need any advice for your setup just let me know...
So here it is fully grown and full of life. No real algae issues just struggling to keep everything growing and smothering the hardscape.
Any thoughts on changing things around for the next re-scape next year!
Just thought I’d share some pics this morning with no lights but backlight from the sun.
All plants going crazy now with Eleocharis Mini runners visible in substrate. Anamos and cherries doing their thing on the algae.
I’ve been following the Tropica schedule and this is proving a winner by...
Day 7: 50% water change check filter, remove dead grass and leaves, using a kebab stick push grass runners into substrate.
Looking really good now with obvious signs of growth. Deep roots showing in substrate all around the tank.
Added Fertilizer, Tropica Specialised Nutrition, Easy Carbo but...
Thanks Dean, so I’ve just added Amano shrimp to clear up bits and start on first signs of algae.
Plan is to have a few Clown Killifish once every thing takes off. I’ll take some progress shots as we go along. When are you starting your Nano?
So after a 4 year break I just had to get back into the best hobby in the world. So having found a small space I’ve opted for a small 16ltr Oliver Knott Flexi Mini Nano.
The glass tank is super quality and crystal clear and the LED light is stunning.
Attached are some images from the last 3...
Thanks for your comments. Neon tetras, Galaxy Rasbora, Asian Rummy nose Females. These pics were taken 19 months ago. Not long after these images were taken the tank cracked and fell apart! So I had to save what I could
and create new layout which is even better and I will post new images very...

Amazing images of Green Aqua showroom - whats your secret on the massive 'Cuba' Tank?
OK, I'm liking the look of these. Currently have 2 T5's in a Hagen Glo T5HO system, but considering upgrading to LED
for power and style.
Anyone got one of these and growing plants well? Should I bother?
Thanks for the info guys. Think I will opt for Rena SmartHeater 150w with AQUAEL MINIKANI smart canister,
purly because the Aquael UV internal filter has been amazing quality and value for money.
Will post and let you know how I get on.
Hi all. I'm looking to upgrade to an external filter for my 60ltr set-up. Idealy with built-in heater.
Not sure if you can get one for a tank this size??? Any ideas/thoughts would be most grateful.
