Rather than trimming and replanting my stems now they are growing in submersed form, can I just trim the lower emerged leaves off or are they best left as they are? Would new leaves or stems sprout out or would it be left pretty bare?
When i plant rotala, i cut it off at the pot, then half it again.
Plant the lower part in front of the crown and you get growth from both. New growth tends to come from the first node on the bottom part of the stem...if that makes sense?
OK, thank you Mark. I'll try and slope them to hide the old lower parts. I'm re-thinking my stem layout too, might get some more HM to add better shape
