how long should I get out of a 500?

hi,
just out of intrest how long should a half kg cylinder last?
I am only getting about two weeks out of both refillable and disposable jbl brand. This does not seem long at all as i am only injecting gas 8 hours aday at 4BPS! could there be a fault with the reg or is this normal...Its going to be a very expensive hobby if it is!

Mine lasted about 2 months at 1bps if I remember right, so that's about the same. Get a Fire Extinguisher, a 2kg or something. You can get it refilled so much cheaper than a JBL cylinder.

yeh I did turn it up a bit from 2BPS as I thought I was under estimating the co2 but even at 2BPS in a 240ltr the DP still stays green!
I am looking at getting a FE anyway...seen them for £23 for a 2KG...a jbl 2KG is £160!!!

one of these lasts me a few months on my 300l, running at a bubble rate too fast to count.

You can often exchange them for filled ones in shops that sell fire extinguishers. Or some people have done it at fire stations.
