Saw it in a co2 injected tank at a local LFS here. It was looking really nice. The tank was definetely having co2 issues yet this particular plant appeared to be doing quite well for itself
Hi all,
I think it is Hornwort (prob. Ceratophyllum submersum) as well. It is a good plant for fry cover, and a great oxygenator, the only real downsides are that it is a very rapid grower and fairly brittle. Diana Walstad is very keen on it, and it is meant to inhibit the growth of Cyanobacteria. <http://www.springerlink.com/content/p480051247356362/>.
Thanks guys !!! So THIS is Hornwort!!!! It's nice & fluffy !!! I didn't quite expect it to look like this. I kind of like it. I checked it out ,....do the lower leaves really drop off as it grows taller?
