Snails!

Hi all. My tanks is now about 5 weeks old and last night when watching the fish I noticed a tiny snail about the size of a bit of pea gravel!. Needless to say I soon lost sight of it. I guess it came from the plants.
will it be harmful etc and should it be removed when i next spot it?

will be fine just let it grow and see what type it is, if it has an elongated shell chances are it will be a Malaysian trumpets snail, but really it could be anything and only time will tell.
