Hi,

I normally never have a problem cleaning my glass (tank) clean however recently i have a stubborn browny dust algae on the sides that wont scrub off for some reason.

It's not diatoms as it wont scrub off. Looking on the aide its almost seethrough but if i put some fiter wool against it its a very pale brown colour. Its as if its almost part of the glass now :/

Ive tried filter wool, an algae pad & also a credit card...

Anyone know of any other good ways of cleaning the tank glass?!

Razor blade, never fails...careful with the fingers and the silicone though!

I agree - razor blade or stanley knife blade.

i have a TetraTec GS45.

its a stick with a double edged razor blade on it, so you can scrape going in both directions, rotating head so it keeps contact with the glass. and the handle is buoyant so it floats if you drop it
