glass cutting

so looks like the lighting in my tetra techart 30l nano has gone......i can try and fix but i have been hankering after a pets@home 25l cheapo tank for a while. only issue i have is how to cut the glass lid to fit my 2211 eheim pipes into it, any ideas on how to go about it?

i have a electric tile cutter buried somewhere in the garage but not sure whether it does glass....any help appreciated.

Could you not just run it without the lid? That's what I would do.

As soon as you touch one of them lids with any sort of cutting device, it will shatter into a million pieces as it will be toughened glass. And you cannot cut toughened glass at all.

Did this on my ebi, unless its very thick, it tends to warp over time. But its definitely an alternative.

I would use mine for a while on one sie, then turn it over to stop the sag.

Pop into your local glaizer and get a new top made to suit I had a quote of £17 for my 120x45cm tank
