The metal sliding clip on the bottom of the solenoid itself.
I opened up the valves on the regulator and put it in a bucket and I got bubbles coming out of the nozzle that the tubing goes on with the solenoid unplugged. I wondered if this clip is holding the valve open maybe?
No the clip is holding the electro magnet on the solenoid shaft. Remove clip with pliers and remove black unit. Valve should now be closed. Give it a gentle tap and refit.
