Right.. may be a very stupid question but what the hell..

After I cut my hairgrass Down can I the bunch the cuttings and re-plant these? Will they begin to root or does eleocharis not actually do this like others?

you cant do this jack, it will just die. Eleocharis spreads via runners once its settled and happy.
