400lph in a Fluval Ebi?

I can get my hands on a brand new JBL e700 for £63, cheaper than an Eheim 2213. As a result, I'm considering going with this for my tank, as the JBL's I've got on my big tanks seem better than the Eheims.

Even if I throttle this back to half strength though, I'm going to be putting 350-400lph through a 30l tank, which seems a bit on the high side. Reckon I'll get away with it, or am I going to turn my tank into a whirlpool?

Ran the e700 on the shrimp nano in my sig about 3/4 full no problems had it on full for a week moved a bit of the gravel foreground other than that was fine for a 12 ltr mate
