stem plants for low tech

can anybody tell me which stem plants grow the bestin a low tech setup

Hygro Polysperma & Rotala do pretty well in mine.
Not a stem, but Vallis does well if your water is slightly harder

edit oh yeah, Limnophila Sessiflora too

you could also try ergia densa, bacopa, cabomba caroliniana..
