Just seen this:

Looks like a facelift model to me. Like all Fluval filter updates, they're always just the same thing in a different box. Having said that, I've only ever used a 106, so I'm not exactly speaking from experience.

reads a bit like a marketing spiel rather than a useful article you could use to make a buying decision with

Uses less energy but also has less flow. Just a step down from the fx5 I think
