Small grain suitable nano substrate

Hi all,

Been doing a fair bit of research and wanted to get your opinion and input on suitable nano substrates. Ideally after something dark in colour.

I know the arguments with regard to nutrient enabled and 'plain' gravel types.

2 substrates I'm considering are cat litter and akadama however I'm concerned about grain size.

Dennerle do a shrimp gravel called Sulawesi Black. The inert gravel has grains around 0.7 to 1mm in size from memory .

It's a natural looking black gravel they also do a grey one from memory.

Unipac Limpopo sand is good and reasonably priced I've used it on top of tropica plant substrate to good effect.
