Sounds like fish world???

And if im honest this tank does get lots of people looking at it when Ive been in. If the water was clearer then youd see how fantastic and how much hard work went into this.
It really is stunning its just unfortunate that you've not seen it fully lit and clear

If the tank is not a pleasure to look at, then the message that is sent to customers is that this is just too hard. How are they expected to trust pets at home staff, when their own display tank is not spick and span? :(

Isn't there anything on site that clears the water?

I'm wondering if there's some overkeen gravel vaccing going on? I really like the scape and sense of space....the only thing that bugs me is the gravel needs leveling off.

The tank is a pleasure to look at luis it really is and I was staring into it for a good half hour.
They have the lighting quite low at present I think partly to help keep things in check until it settles in so obviously given the depth of the tank from a good 8 feet away you can't see all the way through. Like ian said maybe they just need to get lots And lots of filter floss in their to clear the haze.
Im going over this weekend to have a nosey again so it might have cleared up some more then too.

Would some purigen help matters?
Can you imagine how much they would need ha ha. Fluvals new clear fast liquid is bloody good stuff though that clears a tank in about 30 minutes. Used it on all the tanks at telford. Not sure how many bottles would be needed on a 10,000 litre

I think that anything they use that would work would be a good advert for the product.

Personally I would use a mix of floculant and purigen.

Also, if the tropica substrate was not placed deep enough the water movement could cause cloudiness.

I know what you're shopping for Alastair:
