I've just bought a nice portion of micranthemum Monte Carlo to try and carpet a bit of the foreground in my tank. My substrate is jbl manado and I was hoping someone could give me some tips regarding planting the micranthemum. Should I just shove small pieces in or try and pin them down? The manado is so light that they have trouble staying put. It's a mature running tank and not a new scape by the way.

You could use a stainless steal wire net pieces. Just put them over the newly planted Micranthemum MC to keep it down. It will quickly grow over it and spread to the rest of the bottom.

I just tore up the big monte carlo clump i got in to small bits and planted them one by one like stem plants.. I also have a fine grain substrate like you. Worked just fine.
