Plant ID please

Looks like Bolbitis heteroclitha.........but could be some Microsorum, too.
Either way you're placing it correct [DOUBLEPOST=1402260256][/DOUBLEPOST]P.S. - the heteroclitha is not amongst the easiest plants, to grow!!!

it isn't really a plant that enjoys life submerged

the heteroclitha is not amongst the easiest plants, to grow

Ah, I wondered if that may be the case, it was in a plant tank in an aquatic shop, along with some other plants that I suspected were not true aquatic. Oh well, I'll move it further up the wood, roots just danging in the water and see how it goes!
Thanks, Fern

Hi all,
it was in a plant tank in an aquatic shop, along with some other plants that I suspected were not true aquatic. Oh well, I'll move it further up the wood, roots just dangling in the water and see how it goes!
It works pretty well like that, I couldn't find "Hydrophytes" thread on UKAPS, but this is on another forum.

Thanks Darrel,
Looking at that thread, (UKAPS) that's exactly how the plant was, in a bunch at the shop.

I'd love to have a go at a riparium, thanks for the other link, given me some inspiration :)

Quick update, plant seems to be doing ok, popped it into a little pot for the time being, the roots are just touching the water, noticed a few new shoots and roots !
Now, just need to set up a riparium
