let me introduce my first tank ever

hardware:

60x40x35 = 84 L
heater-Eheim 100 W
filter- Aquael Versamax3 with sponge and sera siporax
Eheim Skim 350
light- ebay lamp T5 48 W
CO2 system with 6kg bottle

scape:
Ada power sand S
Ada aqua soil amazonia
Bogwood
Rocks

plants:
Eleocharis sp.Mini
Alternanthera Mini
Weeping moss

started tank on 18th of may

first week water change every day around 40 %
secend week every second day
third week every third day
than once a week around 40 %
lights on 5 h per day

sorry for delay with pictures but i had small technical problems yesterday
so the main idea was to create something like lonely tree

i think that idea wasn't so bad

But i have forgotten that wood float in water
small rescape and it finished like this

Floating wood is a nightmare, there's always something you've forgotten...

tank is now over 3 month old and steel need a lot of work
of course i had some problems withe the set up like co2 leak ( 6kg bottle run out in 2 weeks ),seting up right amount of bps i had to use 2 needle valves,jumping out fishes and shrimps to solve that problem i have bought perspex cover in B&Q for tank ,my weaping moss get brown not sure why but it might has something to do with water flow and may be was too thick
i added more plants like rotala green and Vallisneria nana

i have notice now that my bigest problem is bad water fllow
on the side where filter is carpet sims fine but other side looks not so goood it has start geting brown ,
yesterday i try to run tunze 6015 but i think is to strong for this tank ,probably will have to bay koralia 900 for now before i bay proper external filter

Is your filter placed up side down?...if so you could place it upright and get a spray bar on it

Hi Moroland, I've got a similar bit of wood and there was no chance of it staying put on it's own. I screwed a piece of flat slate onto the bottom of the wood and it works a treat, you can cover the slate with substrate.

Anyway, looking good so far .

James for sure i will use this idea in next scape thanks a lot for advise .

Martin my main filter is Aquael VERSAMAX FZN 3 Cascada so can't put there spray bar there, other one is Eheim Skim 350 to clean water surface and it isn't up side down
hmmm idon't know if the skim 350 is strong enough for spray bar ,(have anyone try this solution?)
and that' why i tought about circulation pump like koralia 900

Bad knews have been invaded by snails they almost killed my Alternanthera
Hired S.W.A.T. team -3x Clea Helena and send them on a mission - SEARCH & DESTROY

Are you able to place your Aquael VERSAMAX FZN 3 Cascada on one of the sides and turn the output of your Eheim Skim 350 in the same direction. This way you should get a better distribution, now they are kinda working against each other a bit.

i didn't want to cut another hole in my cover so i bought 600l/h Aquarium Internal Filter with Spray Bar working fine but
My Aquael VERSAMAX FZN 3 has broken
flow is very very poor,cleaned it twice but still the same . bought TetraTec Ex 1200 and CO2 inline diffiuser
i hope it's not too strong for my tank

after i have changed filter and got right water flow i tought everything would be ok but ....
Unfortynately during holiday i had co2 fault entire gas was pumped into tank
All fishe and shrimps except one chery shrimp
Because i wasn't happy how last scape look like i decide to rescape and replant it

New scape started on 2/11/14 so fingers crossed

had to shut down high tech tank didn't have enough time for it so i decided to open small low tech tank http://www.ukaps.org/forum/threads/25-l.37045/

things are going to change so i'm thinking about new high tech tank already
