Canister burp... a cause of co2 fluctation?

Currently have my FE setup going directly into the Eheim canister via the filter strainer.

The canister burps occasionally as I would expect from what I've read about this practice, but would the subsequent outflow of bubbles cause the co2 level to fluctuate enough to cause BBA and or other algae issues?

Don't think so. Surely those bubbles break the surface and are in fact wasted CO2.
