Recommendation for a Nano Jar Tank?

Hi all,
I'm planning to start up a 1.8l planted jar for my work desktop and I'm wondering about lighting if anyone can help?
The desk gets indirect sunlight during the day but I'm not sure if this will be enough for the plants. We aren't allowed to plug in any electrics but would it be possible for a battery powered LED to be enough? Any suggestions welcome!
I'm planning on using staurogynes and assorted mosses - maybe a fast growing plant also to prevent algae growth if anyone could suggest one?

Some of the USB LED's are good for something that size.

We aren't really meant to plug anything into our computers either! Nightmare I know!
Although maybe I could sneak it into the keyboard port...

How about getting one of those 'backup batteries' to power the light. Not sure how long it will last tho, but a couple of days with any luck.

Thats a tough one. Specially since in the long run you might get tired of recharging.
