Hi, I've just set up tank and have Jbl NPK Macronuitrants and Tropica Premimum.

Dosing for NPK is
2.5ml per 100L on tank with C02 and lights unders 1W/L

My tank is 55L when empty.
It's cycling at the minute fully planted, daily 59% water changes.

Could someone explain the best way to go about fertilising at the minute while cycling and also once it's done?

1.5ml spread over 3 days after weekly water change?

Help much appreciated!

What's normal?
Will dosage on box be a weekly dosage as it doesn't say frequency?
Just dose 3 times a week even though carrying out daily 50% water changes?

Thanks

Yep, just dose as normal. Don't worry, you really can't overdose whatever the manufacturer's instructions say.
If it is a weekly dose, just divide by the number of days you will dose it.
I think the Tropica ferts you use have the microelements 'chelated'. This means they are strongly bound to some molecules and won't easily react with your macro ferts. This is the potential problem when dosing with more concentrated ferts (EI- estimative index) and this is why we don't usually dose macro and micro on the same day.

Anyway, just dose something like Monday, Wednesday, Friday = macro, Tues, Thurs, Sat = micro
