Hi

I have a dennerle scapers tank since beginning of this year
it is doing fine, i use really low CO2 and my led light is a dennerle 15w and it is too much light
so i put some white tape on part of the lamp

i was thinking to sell it and buy a blau 11w led light, but i'm not sure if it would be better the marine version, it has 2 separate dimmer for white and blu light

i don't like led lamp with yellow light

Hi,

The marine version would look very blue and this is not a good colour for showing off planted aquariums with green and red plants.

You could also try the 11W Dennerle Nano Lights (non-LED) or the 5W Dennerle Nano LED: http://dennerle.com/en/products/nano-aquaristic/nano-light

I have a Dennerle Nano Cube 60 and with just one 11W Nano Light there is 30 PAR at the substrate which is just perfect if you have CO2 as well. I have much healthier plants using just this one light compared to when I used two of them as came supplied with the aquarium.

The problem with the Scaper's Tank is that it is shallower and wider than the Nano Cubes so you will have much stronger light in the middle compared to the sides. So it might be better to use 2 weaker lights side by side.
