Not the biggest but sells a massive massive range of plants, fish n tanks, also stocks all the ada product range, very helpful and friendly staff aswell.

Gloucester aquajardin has got to be mine. I like it because of it warm friendly thoughtfully and helpfull staff. If it wasn't for Edd there I wouldn't be writing this now as he told me I had to get on ukaps their tanks/scaping is always looking fresh. Something new whenever I pop in to annoy them.:D
It's really good - 5 minutes from my office!

They have helped me out so much with my first time tank. Friendly staff, awesome recent aquascape show tank (november), great selection on fish and plants. Shop is massive. And the best bit it's only down the road from my house.:)

Agree with ripples in the garden centre at Shenstone near Lichfield they also have one at planters garden centre near Tamworth. Plant stock can vary on quality but most easy / medium graded and they can order in.

  • Shop name - Pez Verde
  • Location - pezverde.es
  • Website - https://pezverde.es
  • Why do you like it? - They are a professional shop of nature aquarium in Madrid, all types of equipment for aquascaping and managing all the brands of this hobby.

Aquarium Gardens http://www.aquariumgardens.co.uk/, one of our sponsors, is easily the best dedicated aquascaping shop I've ever visited, especially since Dave has invested in a new and expanded showroom.
It's well worth a visit, it's what I did today and took a few snap shots...

  • Its more than just a shop. This is the only planted store near me (and even then its a good 50 mins away!) and on my first visit I was offered a brew from the owner (Which would of been rude had I refused!) and I was then shown around the store. We spent 45 mins talking about a proposed high tech discus setup with all the pros and cons and some of the advice i recieved was invaluble. the stock of plants was incredible and all in superb health I now feel really guilty for not purchasing anything! either way, it was a superb experience that will make future drives there worthwhile!!
I have noticed they have reduced all their ADA stuff, not that I need any but worth looking at.

Maidenhead aquatics in Preston is mine. But I am planning on going to aquarium gardens but it's a 3 hour drive from me.

I recently bought quite a lot of things for my new Aquascaper 900 (all online as I live in ROI) and was REALLY HAPPY with the level of professionalism the two below shops showed:
  • All accessories from Aquasabi (www.aquasabi.com)
    • Large range of products
    • Competitive prices
    • Good order follow-up and customer service
  • All plants from Aquarium Gardens UK (www.aquariumgardens.co.uk)
    • Great choice of plants
    • Really good quality of plants
    • Really well packed plant parcels & ultra fast delivery
    • Really good customer service (via email)
I also buy most of the fish in a local shop called Seahorse Aquarium (www.seahorseaquariums.com/store/)

That's my nearest... have you tried the Wigan store? Not too bad time for me wise cos it's right off the motorway... much bigger store and great selection of almost everything there!

Hi.
Theres a familiar pattern occurring with some of these wonderful links provided by us.
Its sad that a lot of these places are rapidly struggling and not being able to offer great places to visit and work.
No wonder web based shopping is taking over.
