white stuff help

Hi guys i hope you can help me i filled my tank at the weekend and now have this white stuff all over the soil rock and wood. I've used ada amazonia soil and power sand special. Ro water sera bio start and a little mineral salt. I haven't had any lighting on i dont know if this makes any difference just thought I'd mention it

Hi, this white growth is fine, just brush it off with an old tooth brush. You could syphon it off. It will stop growing in a couple of days, it's nothing to worry about.

Hi A, Its a fungus growth it harmless. Lots of wood go through this stage

Thats good news thanks guys should i leave the lighting off then as for shrimp food its just a shame the tank is cycling otherwise I'd happily add some

you can add a few and they will clean that up in no time. remember to do water changes

Oh really what even with the ammonia from the aqua soil

yes just put a few in but water changes everyday and then week 2 every other day and so on
