Great Looking Event,
But please tell me these man made deformed fish are not back in favor again.Where they Scoop out a section of the dorsal fin and part of the body to create this shape.

This fish has had a growth deficiency, but it managed to survive till now, so the shop owner is simply letting nature take it's course, it seems like a happy fish and interacts with us, so no reason to put him out of his misery, and that's why we took this picture along side a perfect specimen of this beautiful Discus fish ...

Good to hear, a good few years ago the practice became quite common to alter the physical appearance of the discus fish. to give them the rhino horn look. some were very severe indeed.

Love the simplicity of this scape. Looking forward to how it grows in!

Here is the layout evolution with almost 3 weeks of life, it will be trimmed next week for the first time :)

Thank you AndreiD,

That is the intention on the background, this was the tank second trimming, I especte that the rotalas grow now bushier ;)

The light period will be increased also from 6h to 8h starting a week from now letting the plants recover at leas a week from this trim.

Very nice Apisto
& awesome "forest" - really like the combination of plants :)

Are the cardinals still in the tank somewhere?

Very nice crypts man , good looking tank ! :)

Yeah really pleasing to see how this cryps developed in this last month ;)

This apisto is from my own breeding couple, a gift to the shop owner, and really thriving in this kind of setup, lot's of burrows for them ... Colors are really popping :D
The Cardinals are no longer in this tank, and the plants choice was really to kip it simple and jungle like :)

Thank you all for following :)

Here goes another update on this tank a maintenance back from 8/8/2016

The plants growth was unbelievable, the hardscape was almost completely covered, we did a major trim, and here are the photos from all the maintenance done ...

So great to see this update :) :) :)

Do you have a fish list?
- I'm wondering if most of the shrimp are "disappeared" now ;)

Even overgrown the tank looked amazing

Hi there alto,

If I recall correctly here it goes:

10 Pristellas Maxillaris
5 Pterophyllum Scalare
3 Apistogrammas Bitaeniata "Shishita"
5/6 SAE
+/-30 XL Caridina Japonica

I can in fact tell you that the shrimps are still there as they are really big about 5cm sized Amanos ;)

Está fantástico, muitos parabéns!

Obrigado João :)
