Russchilds mark thanks . Had trouble with drum. Have another go tomorrow , yesterday it was ultra sieve. That and skimmer is working. Nexus has been put back to normal. With easy back in centre of filter. Cleaning for the night.try drum again tomorrow. Best Fred

got the drum working now. i spent about 6 hours last night. bought new pump an all which ment i had to do replumbing.
nothing wrong with pump all a long it was the mesh on the drum. i high pressure wased the drum so as to clear all the little holes in 58 micron mesh.
the drum i found out eventualy was holding the water on the inside. i found it by feeling weight when lifting out.that did the trick. went for a low wattage pump. an 8000 evo aqua max dry
doing the buisness.
drum in action thats the amount of fines it took out in a couple of hour s.

4 inch inlet and discharge to waste.took some fitting discharge on drum
upload_2016-6-17_6-30-38.png

switch board at back of garden thats only temporary the wooden board
behind it. when sensors for emote and lights are installed will then be drilled to the wall
upload_2016-6-17_6-36-0.png

this is a picture of waste pipe had to drop water in filter to fit it in tight and be able to seem this also may have been part of the problem with the drum. I don t mean when it would nt work. I noticed the pond was dropping. Water height. To waste the pipe was not in tight enough. .so losing pond water down waste. Instead of waste water.

Hi Fred, loving the build but I do have a question. Is there a reason why the far side infinity window is uncapped?

I'm also unsure how deep the plants are in the upper pond but the marginals do look pretty deep. Is that an optical illusion as I don't know a terrestrial fern that would be happy completely underwater. Iris may be ok up to 20 cm water above the crown and depending on the type of bulrush 60 cm may be ok. Like I say hard to guage depth from the picture and i'm sure you have it right given how well the pond has been designed.
