Hello ukaps,

I didn't found any resource for solve this problem. Btw, all leaves submerged.

Ferts: EI Daily with DRY salts.
- KNO3 (7-10ppm)
- KH2PO4 (5ppm)
- MgSO4 (3ppm)
- K2SO4 (3ppm)
- Chelated Trace - CO2Art (1tsp 500ml water - 20ml for my 100lt)
CO2: Always yellow on photoperiod and good flow/distribution.
Water Params: I don't use any test kits.

I don't have any problem with my other plants . HC Cuba, Tripartita, E. Tenellus, S. Repens, P. Erectus, Crypto Hobbit, Fissidens Fontanus, H. Micra.

Thanks.
Hello

Your plant is still in its pot with rock wool ? Maybe your dry salts supply too much K ? Or maybe you don't have enough iron

Hello thanks for the help.

Can you suggest dosage for micro mix? I have following co2art directions.

Contain

Fe 8.2% (EDTA Chelated)

Mn 1.82% (EDTA Chelated)

Zn 1.16% (EDTA Chelated)

B 1.05%

Cu 0.23% (EDTA Chelated)

Mo 0.15%

Stock Solution

1tsp (approx 6g) of Trace Elements

500 ml of water

Leave to dissolve overnight.

Dosing

10ml per 50ltr. of aquarium water 3 x per week.

Yes, its in rock wool. I have same problem with gravel.

Once grew so fast. Then growth stopped.

From gravel...

Remove wool , plant into substrate and place a root tab under each bunch....Hygrophilla is very Iron dependant and Iron doesn't stay available in chelated form. Providing Iron via root tabs will overcome this.
(This has been my experience with Hygrophilla).

Sorry, I don't have any experience with EI ; I only use DRAK long term fertilisers and Tropica ; I, too believe that you should remove from the wool and plant it in the substrate or attach it to the hardscape ; when it comes from hydroponic culture it will take time to adapt but given ample light, K and Fe will be OK ; I have ordered it in this form and with the aforementioned fertilisers it grows like crazy

Is the hydrophila shaded. When I kept mine in a low tech I planted them in different spots. The ones that were well illuminated grew pinkish and started spreading side shoots pretty fast. The ones in the shade grew green leaves and eventually melted. I saved one by moving it to a spot with more light. This plant likes light and mine were in a low tech tank otherwise.

Thank you for helping.

I have same issue with in substrate. And now they are standing under really high light. From 40cm to 25-28cm from light source.

Power of my lights with 60degree lenses.

Today i made new micro solution.
100ml water
1/4 tsp chelated trace
30ml dosage

If x2 or x4 dosage doesn`t help me then i can try root tabs or another micro ferts.

Thank you again. :)
In the coming days I will write results.

I was unable to keep this pant too until I changed two things. For starters I rescaped the tank and took out all my gravel substrate and switched to Seachem flourite Dark. Moreover for the first time I bought pinnatifida in vitro (Aquaflora). Now I do not know what to do with all the trimmings!

Some completely melted but generally rescued.

I bought a PH Meter last week, my water PH value 7.8-7.9 before CO2 on. Max PH drop 6,9-7.

I`ve incrased iron level to 9ppm per week.

1ppm TNC Trace
1ppm FeGluconate
1ppm FeDTPA

I`ve decrased iron level for this week. 0,8ppm tnc trace, 0,4ppm FeGluconate, 0,8ppm FeDTPA.

You can see the new growths from the picture.
