hygrophila pinnatifida pruning

My hygrophila pinnatifida has out grown my nano tank and I'm unsure on the best way to trim it with out damaging it, would also like to to before more compact as well.

I just trim mine between the nodes, replants the tops, as for getting it to grow compact that requires a lot of light

Thanks xim, I have one stem with a little side shoot, a more compact stem would be better in my nano for sure.
