Thanks, that's what I am doing. How often did you trim? Is it ok to wat till it reaches water surface or rather more often?

I did a bit of searching on crypts going brown and it looks like its not uncommon. It has to do with amount of light, water conditions, co2 etc.
Crypts on the right side are under the light and in the main flow an they have much bigger leaves and more brown leaves.
Cryps on the left are shaded and have smaller and greener leaves.
