Hi guys.

I am going to be rescaping soon and using a few rocks from my current setup and they have some algae and bba on them, what is the best way to prep them for a new setup?

Chuck 'em in a bucket with a dash of bleach leave for 24hrs and then rinse and dechlorinate.
Any algae residue left should be easier to scrub off.

rather than bleach i would use 3% H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) buy it at your local chemist for a couple of quid

Bleach will remove all staining as well
I suppose hydrogen peroxide would too but given the volumes involvd, bleach is much cheaper
For wood, spraying generously with Seachem Excel & rest overnight seems efficient
