Hey guys,i have been reading up on here for months now and finnaly bought all my kit for a high tec planted tank. i have a Rio 180 with stock T5s and reflectors. an tetratec ex700 and an small eheim ecco external to boost the main filter. I have aquasoil as substrate and 6 kilos of mini landscape rocks along with a long root like pice of redmoor thats about 18-19". The tank currently houses cardinal and black neon tetras along with 6 angels who will be reduced to 2 once i have a pair formed. What i want to know is what plants would you use with this set up? i can provide photos of the rocks and the wood if you want? i jus cant decide on what i want to the tank to look liek and although i am not asking you to design my tank i would like some ideas. I like gloosso, HC for carpeting plants aswell as P. helferi and L. aromatica/ p. stellata for stemms. i am trying to steer clear of vallis as i hate the stuff.

Agree with the above, take some photos of the rocks and wood and then we can point you in the direction of possible scaping ideas.

You can also test rock formations outside the tank if you mark out the tank footprint on the floor with masking tape.

Yep, we love photos. Be interesting to see what you've got to start with.

Well with all the snow and school closed today i finally got around to taking some photos of what i have now so here they are.

Your post needs to look like this to work:
Code:
[ATTACH=full]71755[/ATTACH]
Which will give you this:

Ooh, nice rocks and branch
